Damping Factor

Damping factor is a term used in regards to how quickly an amplifier can stop a speaker's driver from moving, when no signal is present.
This is important because it stops the speaker from creating overtones or audible anomalies that do not exist in the recording.
Damping factor is measured in numbers, the higher the damping factor meaning the faster the response.
